Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where casino wagering is prohibited. Eight casinos are anchored in a relatively small area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; still, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are formally open from 09:00 to 5:00 p.m., and although visas are apparently necessary to pass, there are means around this, as is real of most border crossings.

The original Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling hall, features one hundred and fifty slot machine games and sixty tables. The Naga gambling den is open 24 hours with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of blackjack, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and 66 of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an international resort and hotel complex that contains a number of amenities on top of the gambling den, which provides 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 tables.
